Greetings Beloved Child Of God,
The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ began “with one accord” or unified in purpose in Acts 2:1, which says:
“And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.”
Although many consider themselves as part of different denominations such as: Baptist, Pentecostal, Charismatics, Lutheran, Methodist, etc., of the Protestant Faith, or organizations in these groups, or Catholics, we are above and before all of these things Christians. We are One Church! A great move of God happened, because the Church (and there is only one) was unified in purpose and not divided by anything else. We are not our denominational organization first, nor are we our political affiliation first. We are not a race or an ethnic group first, nor any other human thing first. Beloved, Our Primary or First Thing that we are, are Christians. No organization, Political Group, Race, Ethnicity, Government or anything else shed their precious blood and died for us. So, why do we let them be the primary thing that define who we are. This can’t be in the Body of Christ. A Great Move of God (Unprecedented Revival) is coming to those in the Body of Christ who will make God their primary, just like the Glory of the Lord came upon the early disciples who were on one accord. It is in the bond of unity that God’s Spirit moves in miraculous ways, in and through us, when we again become One Church that is unified in God’s purpose. In the Gospel of John 17:20-23, we find Jesus speaking the bond of unity that He expects the Church that is soon to be birthed to have in Him and the Father, it says:
“Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
21That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
22And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
23I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.”
In verse 22 of the Gospel of John chapter 17, Jesus said something that reveals what causes God’s Supernatural Power and Works to be manifested, when it speaks of the glory. That Glory is manifested when we are One Church. Jesus doesn’t have 2 or 3, or 4 or 5 Churches: rather just One Church, of which each person who has accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord, and Savior, and has repented of their sins is part of. Jesus is calling His Church back to this place of Divine Unity. Will you join Him. This is what the One Church Movement is about. People coming from different Christian, social, political, ethnic, racial, intellectual and economic backgrounds, deciding to be unified in Christ as their primary identity.
The enemy has used our focus on these things to divide us, yet God has created our differences to unite us. Our differences are our strength, each offering the other what they lack. This is the definition of covenant, two or more parties offering their strength and provisions to others in the group in areas that they lack or are weak. In the past we’ve looked at our differences as a reason for separation, when in reality, it is what should unify us and make us whole. Our differences are parts and not the whole. When all the parts are put together, we can truly get a picture of the whole body that God has brought forth, which is the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is in the bond of unity, love and the embracing of our differences (please do not make a mistake here thinking that I’m including sin that has been embraced by anyone or any group), that the Glory of God is manifested in and through us. Unity is the road that births revival and brings in the Glory of God. We begin this process by each of us individually, and as groups repenting for every sin against God, and each other, especially division, discord and separation with each other. We must then come together in unified prayer (we don’t need to be in the same place to do this: rather of the same mind) for Gods Divine Purpose, which is the Salvation of the Lost.
My dear brother or sister in Christ, I ask that we may commit to come together as Christians, united in purpose to see the will of God done throughout the world? I’m not seeking for you to do anything else but make God first above all other things, people and groups, asking that His Will would manifest in you and I, as the family of God and the Body of Christ. If you are willing to make everything, every group, every affiliation, etc., secondary, and make God your primary, by declaring that you are a Christian first, then I ask that you click the “Join The One Church Movement” button below and sign up. Signing up does not obligate you to anything but making God and doing His will your primary goal. We are One Church in Jesus Christ and not many!
